Are there parking facilities or nearby transportation options available?

If travelling by car there is free street parking spanning the whole of Main Street, across our lunch bookings there is a two hour restriction and after 6 pm, all restrictions are lifted.

If you're opting for public transport, we're just a five-minute walk from the train station, and there are convenient bus stops along the High Street.

For a post dining taxi, District Taxis, a trusted local service, is only a three-minute walk down the High Street. They can be reached on 01928 733 733 to pre book or to contact after your meal.

What is the accessability like at Next Door?

Everyone is welcome at Next Door. There are a number of quirks in our historical building which may make access difficult to some individuals with accessibility needs. Upon entrance there is a small step followed by a narrow turn. The main dining room is then situated all on one level and our walk ways between tables are spacious.

Please be aware that our bathrooms, including our larger designated toilet complete with handrails and accessible features are still at ground level but are accessed by two additional small steps making them inaccessible to wheelchairs.

Please feel free to contact us in advance, and we'll be more than happy to provide further information including photos of our floorplan and discuss how we can make your time with us more comfortable.

What is the recommended meal duration?

Lunch

To savor our afternoon offerings, we suggest dedicating hour and a half to two hours for the lunch set menu. For those indulging in the lunch tasting menu, we recommend allowing two to two and a half hours for the complete experience

Evening

For an evening of culinary indulgence with our À la carte menu, we recommend setting aside two to two and a half hours. This timeframe allows our guests to enjoy the option of three courses. If you opt for our tasting menu, we recommend allowing three to three and a half hours to unwind over chefs carefully created nine-course experience.

Can you cater for allergies and dietary requirements?

At Next Door, we understand the importance of catering to individual allergies and dietary needs. Please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements when making your reservation, and we will ensure that our chefs craft a delightful and safe culinary journey tailored to your specific needs.

How was Next Door founded?

Nestled in the heart of Frodsham, our neighbourhood restaurant, established in spring 2017, is the embodiment of a dream cherished by Richard (chef) and Vicki (sommelier), who also happen to be married. The roots of our culinary haven intertwine with Vicki's family history, as we find ourselves in the same 17th-century timber-framed building that once housed her family's butcher shop almost a century ago. Richard, a Cheshire native, honed his culinary skills across Cheshire, London, France, and the Caribbean, training under world-class chefs. Meanwhile, Vicki ascended the ranks in hospitality, working her way up to head sommelier. United by a shared love for exceptional seasonal dishes and an extensive world wine list, they envisioned a warm, homely space where guests could relish refined British cuisine. Recognized by MICHELIN in 2021 and holding 3 AA rosettes for 2023-2024, our restaurant continues to evolve, guided by a commitment to sustainable, seasonal, and quality produce. As we welcome both new and returning guests, we invite you to join us on this culinary journey, where each dish is crafted with passion, and every sip tells a story.

can large parties and exclusive use requests be accommodated?

We offer the facility to exclusively book Next Door and also offer intimate spaces for larger groups. Our private dining room in the lounge accommodates up to twelve guests, and the newly refurbished upper level of the dining room seats up to 10 guests. Both spaces are available for our tasting menu, ensuring an extra special experience.

For more extensive gatherings and private events, we provide exclusive and partially exclusive use of the restaurant, tailored to your desired dining experience. If this is something you're interested in, please reach out to tom@restaurantnextdoor.co.uk. We'd be delighted to invite you in for a discussion to tailor the experience to your needs
